What we do

We exist to relieve sickness and to preserve the health of children with disabilities and/or special or specific care needs and/or terminal illnesses and their families. We do this by the provision of grants and equipment not normally provided by the statutory authorities.

casestudies1Through our Social Media & Internet presence and growing good reputation, we are approached by people who have identified causes that meet our objectives of supporting children and their families.

When we are approached, we issue our Grant Making Policy & Application Form. When this completed Application Form is submitted to us, The Child Foundation Trustees quickly assess the application and make a decision. When we choose to accept a grant request, we commence the process of promoting the cause.

We feel certain that people who support charities want to know where their money is going and how it is being used. For this reason, we try to interview and video record the applicant to evaluate the predicament and the needs of the beneficiary

We only ever publish video interviews with permission.

The feedback we receive from our supporters is consistently positive about our methods of raising awareness of certain causes.

Once we have raised the funds required to support the beneficiary in the manner identified, we also promote the fact that our mission has been accomplished and the beneficiaries request for support has been granted
